The Nelson Tasman Climate Forum is a community-led initiative open to everyone.

We aim to get everyone in our waka paddling quickly in the same direction.

Our mission is to weave individuals, households, civil society organisations, businesses, councils and iwi together around urgent, strategic action on climate change in the Nelson-Tasman region.

We also organise, once a year, a Festival, with the aim of gathering all the wonderful initiatives happening in our region.

We are a year-long experiment of a "micro-venue" and clubhouse in Whakatū Nelson. A “third space” that:

Comfortably holds 10 to 80 people
Has a small stage and movie screen
Has all-ages events
Progressive activist meeting spaces
Is self-run, self-funded, anti-capitalist and completely independent

It does not compete with current indie bars and events. It will also not be the end-of-the-night destination. It is the place in-between.

Run as a not-for-profit run by volunteers and funded primarily by membership fees.

Members form the heart of our space, getting free entry to weekly events and heavily discounted rates for weekend and major events. They are also able to book the space for their own events. You'll receive invitations to all community discussions and have a voice in shaping our direction.
And at night ,access to a venue hosting Intimate band performances; Youth run gigs; Niche DJ sets; Cult film nights; Standup comedy; Board game and D&D nights; potluck dinners, LAN parties; hiphop and chess nights; poetry slams ….
